Maintenance Electrical Multicraft Technician

Job Summary:

Installs, repairs and maintains electrical systems and electronic components of industrial processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as, but not limited to, robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
• Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment. Diagnoses and repair/replace malfunctioning apparatus such as, but not limited to, transformers, motors, controls, sensors, drives, thermocouples and replaces damaged or broken components, wires and/or cables.
• Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers or management.
• Interpret plans or layout diagrams of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Works with outside contractors to compile information for quoting purposes

Skills:

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Ability to read, analyze and interprets general technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

· Ability to write reports and procedures.

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.

· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, area, circumference, volume, and proportions to practical situations.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to use software programs such as Microsoft Office and Maintenance Planning programs or SAP

Education and/or Experience:

• High School/GED or technical school; and, a minimum of three to five years related and current industrial experience and/or training or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two to four years related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial or commercial electrical systems and HVAC

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must have State of Arkansas Board of Electrical Examiners License – (Minimum) Journeyman Electrician License or HVAC.
• Hazardous Material Handling is a plus.

• While on duty, Protective Equipment provided for this position must be used.
