As an Analyst, you will work closely with the investment team and are encouraged to participate in team discussions to form and share your own opinions.
This is a full-time position based in Amsterdam or Hamburg. SET has an in-office policy of min 4 days per week. We’d like you to start as soon as practical, but no later than January 1, 2027.
- Build a strong pipeline of early-stage companies through outbound sourcing, events and investor relationships, guided by your own theses about the digital energy economy.
- Assess opportunities by analysing product, market, team and traction, and support due diligence, investment memos and investment committee materials.
- Represent SET at founder events and ecosystem gatherings, building relationships with founders, operators and co-investors.
- Support portfolio companies with research, introductions and ad hoc projects.
- Assume operational responsibilities in reporting, research and marketing.

- 1-2 years experience in venture capital or 2-3 years in a relevant role in a tech start-up or top-tier investment banking or management consulting firm.
- Well-connected and/or eager to build a network in the energy tech ecosystem.
- A demonstrable knowledge and interest in the energy transition and the technologies shaping it.
- Fluency in English. Additional fluency in Dutch, German or other European languages is advantageous.
- Right to work and travel in the EU.
- Willingness to travel.
- This job requires you to work from our offices in Amsterdam or Hamburg as soon as practical, but ultimately no later than January 1st, 2027.
