Climate Lead
Job Description
Servier Group has recently renewed its sustainability strategy with updated climate objectives. As Servier Group’s Climate Lead, you will act as a business partner of different functions to play a pivotal role in driving and executing the climate roadmap.
As part of Servier Group CSR and Sustainability team, you will also be a key contributor to the overall deployment of Servier sustainability roadmap and Planet strategy.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITES :
- Decarbonization Roadmap
- Develop and refine year on year operational decarbonization roadmap for scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions to ensure achievement of Group objectives.
- Coordinate with strategic sites, key countries and cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of decarbonization roadmaps across the Group.
- Ensure alignment of Group decarbonization goals with business developments and SBTi requirements.
- Climate Resilience
- Pilot physical and transition climate risks assessment of the Group in line with international frameworks and standards.
- Develop and implement Group climate adaptation strategy.
- Ensure integration of climate risks into Business Continuity Plans.
- Carbon Accounting & Data Strategy
- Oversee Group carbon accounting, ensuring methodology alignment with up-to-date standards and continuous improvement on data quality.
- Support audit of carbon data at both site and centralized level.
- Support the definition of Group environmental data strategy and the digitalization journey, ensure connection between carbon accounting and product environmental footprint.
- In connection with Servier sustainability strategy
- Support cascading of Group sustainability roadmap and Planet strategy within different functions.
- Stay updated on methodological advancements and benchmark against industry peers.
- Identify and promote best practices both internally and externally.
IDEAL PROFILE
Education :
- Master’s degree in business, environment, sustainability or similar areas
- Minimum 5 years of experience, with a preference for experience in corporate sustainability, notably in leading decarbonization efforts within international companies.
- Knowledge of the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
- Practical expertise in carbon accounting (scope 1, 2, and 3) and key decarbonization strategies.
- Profound understanding of climate risks and adaptation measures.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
- Proficient in Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Proven track record in project management involving cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to act as a business partner, finding common ground in challenging and complex business contexts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders (industrial sites, R&D, senior management) both internally and externally
- Ability to deliver practical and concrete solutions.
- Skilled in presenting technical topics to various internal and external audiences (employees, technical teams, management, etc.).
- Open-minded with a strong team spirit.
