Strategic Partnerships
Role: Carbon & ESG Researcher (MSME Pilots + Partnerships)
Duration: 12 weeks | Mode: Hybrid (field + remote) | Type: Probation → PPO / Contract (performance-based) | Compensation: UNPAID during probation (salary with PPO)
What Biocog Is Actually Building
Biocog's AI carbon operating layer for 400 millions MSMEs in emerging markets, turning real business data into verified carbon that can be monetized through credits, loans, and incentives.
We focus on what works on the ground, not what looks good on paper, and we ship only what survives real pilots with small businesses. Everything at Biocog is designed to work first for the smallest businesses, in the messiest markets, under real-world constraints.
If you build here, your work directly converts climate action into usable economic value.
What You Will Do (No Theory Work)
1. Ground Research (Core)
- Interview MSMEs, recyclers, aggregators, plant managers, field operators
- Capture how carbon data is actually generated, lost, or manipulated
- Document real workflows (billing → fuel → production → waste)
2. ESG & Carbon Validation
- Break down Scope 1, 2, limited Scope 3 at MSME level
- Identify what can be measured today vs assumed on paper
- Flag gaps between policy, frameworks, and ground truth
3. Pilots & Partnerships
- Support MSME pilots with Biocog’s product team
- Assist in onboarding partners (buyers, lenders, verifiers)
- Sit in real calls/interviews — take notes that change decisions
4. Output That Matters
- Short field notes, not reports
- Clear problem → evidence → constraint → opportunity
- What works, what fails, and why MSMEs drop off
Who Should Apply
Freshers
- Have done fieldwork, surveys, audits, or on-ground research
- Comfortable talking to business owners and workers
- Curious, observant, not intimidated by ambiguity
Experienced Researchers
- Have worked in carbon, ESG, energy, waste, or MSME ecosystems
- Can separate frameworks vs reality fast
- Think in trade-offs, not ideal systems
What We Filter For
- First-hand observation (not Google knowledge)
- Ability to ask uncomfortable “why” questions
- Bias toward action, pilots, and verification
How to Apply (Important)
Send one short ground note (max 1 page) based on something you’ve personally observed:
- A carbon / ESG problem you’ve seen on the ground
- Why current solutions don’t work
- One practical fix (even if imperfect)
Strictly no AI-written submissions. AI-style answers are rejected immediately.

If you want clean slides, conferences, or desk research - don’t apply.
If you want to build carbon systems that survive reality - this is for you.
