As the business continues to grow, they are seeking to add Two (2) Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technicians who brings strong field expertise, leadership capability, and advanced troubleshooting skills to the team.


Position Summary: The Senior HVAC Service Technician serves as a key technical leader responsible for diagnosing complex system issues, performing advanced repairs, supporting junior technicians, and delivering exceptional service to commercial customers. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys independent field work, problem-solving, and mentoring others while working with sophisticated HVAC systems and technologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems
  • Perform equipment start-ups, commissioning, and system optimization
  • Service rooftops, chillers, boilers, split systems, furnaces, heat pumps, and VRF systems
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and service excellence
  • Identify repair, retrofit, and energy-efficiency upgrade opportunities
  • Coordinate daily activities with Service Manager and dispatch team
  • Complete accurate service documentation and reporting
  • Participate in emergency and peak-season service support when required


Required Qualifications

✅ Connecticut S2 License (required)
✅ EPA Universal Certification
✅ Extensive commercial HVAC service experience
✅ Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting capability
✅ Experience with:

  • Commercial Rooftop Units (RTUs)
  • Boilers & Hydronic Systems
  • Chillers
  • VRF Systems
  • Heat Pumps & Split Systems
  • AAON equipment
  • Basic controls / building automation exposure

✅ Valid Driver’s License
✅ Ability to pass background check and drug screening
✅ U.S. Citizenship required


Physical Requirements

  • Work safely in commercial and industrial environments
  • Lift equipment and materials as needed
  • Work on rooftops, ladders, and elevated surfaces
  • Perform duties in varying weather and temperature conditions
