Renewable Natural Gas Start-up and Commissioning Coordinator

SCS Engineers is seeking a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Plant Startup & Commissioning Coordinator to join our Renewable Energy Division. SCS Energy focuses on renewable energy design, build, and operate projects in the renewable biogas and renewable power markets. Our projects aim to achieve renewable energy goals, reduce greenhouse gases, and create useful by-products from waste. We build systems that power universities, wastewater treatment plants, generate renewable natural gas sales, support electric utilities, and dairies, all transitioning to renewable energy. Ability to travel nationwide up to 75% of the time is required.

How You Can Make An Impact

• Serve as the Onsite SCS Lead the start-up and commissioning of new RNG facilities
• Assist in the development and execution of commissioning plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, construction teams, and operations teams to ensure smooth commissioning activities.
• Oversight of Commissioning Subcontractors and equipment vendor commissioning personnel.
• Monitor and document commissioning progress, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support the preparation and review of commissioning documentation, including procedures, checklists, and reports.
• Facilitate communication between different teams to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of commissioning tasks.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify readiness for commissioning.
• Assist in the training of operational staff on new equipment and processes.
• Ensure successful plant startup and handover from the construction team to the operations team.
• Ensure all commissioning activities are performed in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant mechanical or commissioning experience required
• Strong safety leadership skills, including understanding of permit-required work preferred
• Familiarity with construction, automation, and industrial facility operations preferred
• SCADA and rotating equipment experience preferred
• Communication and leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams preferred
• Completion of (or willingness to complete) OSHA 30-Hour training required
• Ability to travel nationwide up to 75% of the time required
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required
  
  

Pay Range

USD $50.00 - USD $60.00 /Hr.
