IT Intern - Summer 2026
SCS Engineers is looking for a summer 2026 intern for our Long Beach, CA office. This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in software development, data analysis, and business operations through a diverse range of client projects, such as developing new applications or optimizing existing systems, while giving you the chance to explore the beginnings of your own career path in the tech industry.
As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals on projects centered around software design, database management, cloud computing infrastructure, application development, system analysis, and data analytics solutions. You will typically work 40 hours per week.

How You Can Make An Impact
You will contribute to our projects by assisting SCS project teams with the following tasks:
- Identifying and documenting project requirements
- Collaborating on design and development activities
- Designing or updating data models
- Writing, testing, and debugging code
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and graduating by June 2028 required.
- Must be willing to live in the Long Beach area for Summer 2026 (housing allowance will not be provided)
- Solid technical, computer, and communication skills
- Proficiency in C#.Net, JavaScript, MS Power Platform, SharePoint, SQL Server, or Python a plus.
- Preference for candidates who demonstrate a desire to pursue a technical career in the environmental engineering industry
- Paid internship experience
