What you'll do

If you are passionate about communication, storytelling, and driving awareness of impactful business systems, join Scout Motors to support the growth of our Business Management System (BMS) (also known as QMS according ISO 9001) with excellence and creativity:

  • Develop and execute a communication strategy to ensure strong BMS awareness across the SC location.
  • Plan, develop, and deliver multi-channel communication campaigns, using diverse media such as intranet, town hall meetings, videos, newsletters, flyers, and branded merchandise.
  • Create and deliver professional, high-quality presentation content for live sessions, leadership updates, training, and internal events.
  • Write compelling texts for films, video scripts, and live communication sessions to engage diverse audiences.
  • Coordinate or directly contribute to the production of video content (internal campaigns, training, storytelling).
  • Support the BMS team in document control to ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Collaborate with BMS and cross-functional teams to communicate system updates, benefits, and process improvements effectively.
  • Foster a strong awareness culture by continuously improving communication methods and tools.
  • Support the integration of communication into BMS and QMS initiatives (ISO 9001 knowledge as an asset).
  • Perform other duties as required

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC or Blythewood, SC.
  • The responsibilities of this role require dailyattendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communication, Media, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in corporate communications, marketing, internal communication, or content creation; experience in automotive or manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Communication:
    • Excellent presentation and writing skills across multiple formats (slides, speeches, scripts, video).
    • Ability to translate technical or complex BMS/QMS topics into clear and engaging communication.
    • You understand the power of words and how to use them to inspire, inform, and motivate diverse audiences.
    • Strong visual storytelling skills and eye for design.
    • Experience in coaching others to strengthen their presentation skills.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint in particular).
    • Experience with video content creation, editing, or coordination is an asset.
    • Familiarity with intranet platforms, website redaction/editing, digital communication tools, and AI tools is a plus.
  • Quality Knowledge:
    • Understanding of ISO 9001 principles preferred; QMS/BMS knowledge is an asset.
    • Experience with document control processes is a plus.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Positive attitude, high motivation, and strong team orientation.
    • Fast learner with high adaptability and willingness to develop further.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $120,000.00 - $145,000.00
