Help us create a better future, quicker

We’re looking for a senior infrastructure analyst to help shape the future of ScottishPower’s IT estate. This position carries responsibility for the ongoing evolution of infrastructure technology domains and acts as the source of deep technical expertise across the organisation. Working within the wider Iberdrola Group, the role supports the delivery of a consistent architectural vision while ensuring local needs are met in a secure, resilient and cost‑effective way.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for defining and delivering technology roadmaps that guide the acceptance, implementation, maintenance, recovery and eventual decommissioning of hardware and software assets. This includes setting and maintaining technical standards, clearly communicating changes, and ensuring those standards are understood and adopted across the business. The role contributes directly to solution design, ensuring alignment with Group direction, and leads the development of robust business cases that clearly articulate costs, benefits and delivery approaches to enable informed investment decisions.

Strong supplier management is central to success in this position. You will build and maintain effective relationships with third‑party partners, overseeing service delivery to ensure performance is achieved on time and within budget. You will also provide senior technical input to resolve complex or escalated operational issues, support service restoration, and plan and supervise changes to the IT estate in line with formal change management processes.

Collaboration is key. You will work closely with Operations, Network and Architecture teams, adopting a true “One Team” approach to ensure solutions are designed with a global perspective. A core part of the role is translating business and technical requirements into clear, simple solution designs that reduce complexity and contribute to a more efficient IT architecture across the Group. You will actively seek to leverage the scale, capability and expertise available within Iberdrola to deliver better outcomes.

This role carries accountability for agreeing technology roadmaps based on cost, benefit and risk, maintaining build standards in line with Group global standards, and ensuring the ongoing health and future performance of the IT estate through structured upgrade and enhancement plans. You will influence stakeholders at both technical and business leadership levels and develop strong working relationships across ScottishPower and the wider Iberdrola Group.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for someone with significant IT experience gained across multiple roles, ideally with a strong background in infrastructure‑focused project delivery. You will bring broad technical knowledge across multiple platforms and disciplines, an awareness of emerging technologies, and proven experience managing suppliers and contracts. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to operate comfortably with both technical teams and senior managers. Experience working in an international environment is highly valued; Spanish language skills are beneficial but not essential. A flexible, collaborative mindset, a strong commitment to security, and a genuine passion for teamwork and capability development will set you apart.

If you’re motivated by complex challenges, enjoy working at scale, and want to make a tangible impact within a global energy group, this is an opportunity to shape technology that supports a sustainable future.

What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
