A key role within the Scottish Power Renewables O&M team focussing on the delivery and co-ordination of major component exchanges on windfarms across the UK&I.
The Project Manager will take lead responsibility for the overall programme for all sites overseeing both planned and pro-active major component exchanges, while seeking to maximise production and minimise turbine downtime.
The project manager will be the central point of contract for field operations, civils, logistics and contract management, as well as being a central point of contact for senior management for all major component activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will lead multi‑disciplinary project teams to deliver major programmes safely, on time and within budget. You’ll take ownership of multi‑million‑pound framework agreements, oversee annual major component exchange plans, and ensure all commercial agreements and contracts are aligned to mitigate project risk. A key part of the role will be driving robust due diligence, managing tender assessments, and coordinating the work of external suppliers, contractors, and internal partners to ensure technical and operational specifications are fully met.
You will be responsible for monitoring contractor performance, managing interfaces between main contractors, and ensuring that all project milestones, budgets, and deliverables remain on track. This includes proactively identifying and mitigating risks, resolving contractor claims through structured reporting, and ensuring consistent adherence to statutory and corporate health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. You will also lead regular communications with senior stakeholders, providing clear and timely updates on risks, issues, opportunities, and project progress.
Additionally, you will ensure documentation and quality requirements are fully met throughout project execution and develop recovery plans when project timelines are at risk. You’ll participate in lessons‑learned sessions to drive continuous improvement across the business and maintain a strong supply chain to support ongoing and future project needs. Ultimately, you’ll play a critical role in delivering successful outcomes across multiple complex projects.
What You’ll Bring
As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
