What You’ll Be Doing
As an Outage Planning Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting planned outages across our network. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a customer notification service for planned shutdowns, ensuring customers and utilities are informed promptly and accurately.
- Raising jobs in corporate systems and preparing lists of affected customers.
- Managing changes to planned outages and liaising with customers to resolve complaints.
- Assessing outage requests by interpreting 11kV and LV network diagrams and authorising or referring requests for engineering assessment.
- Contributing to minimising GS4 failures and improving customer service by detecting and correcting inaccuracies in customer records.
- Supporting continuous improvement by monitoring processes, capturing feedback, and addressing non-conformances quickly.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in administrative roles with strong organisational skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and confident learning bespoke systems.
- Able to interpret technical diagrams and assess conflicting data to make accurate decisions.
- A strong communicator who can build effective relationships internally and externally.
- Methodical, well-organised, and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
