Purpose

As Interface Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development and integration of system interfaces across projects, ensuring seamless data exchange and operational efficiency.


This role acts as the technical authority for interface solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define interface requirements, manage dependencies and ensure compliance with architectural and security standards.


You will play a key role in enabling interoperability between systems, supporting business processes and driving continuous improvement in interface performance and reliability.



Responsibilities

Leading the design, development and integration of system interfaces, ensuring seamless and secure data exchange across platforms and applications, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interface requirements, manage dependencies and ensure alignment with architectural and business standards.


Ensuring interface solutions meet performance, reliability and compliance standards, including data integrity, security protocols and regulatory requirements, you will oversee issue resolution and change management related to interface functionality, coordinating with stakeholders to minimise disruption and maintain service continuity.


Maintaining documentation and technical specifications for all interfaces, you will be required to support ongoing maintenance, scalability and knowledge sharing.



What you’ll bring

Educated to Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience), you will be able to demonstrate experience in designing, developing and managing system interfaces within complex IT environments.


Proficient in integration technologies and standards such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, HL7, XML, JSON and middleware platforms, you will possess a strong ability to manage own performance with focus on delivery, within a varied and challenging workload whilst producing high quality results.


With a good understanding of Health and Safety Principles and their application in the delivery of largescale projects, you will have a proven track-record of successfully delivering complex multi-discipline projects with a history of contract negotiation and contract management.


Possessing or having the ability to obtain and retain a Security Cleared status under the UK National Security Vetting scheme, you will also possess or have the ability to obtain and retain business Specific Authorisations including but not limited to Substation access.
