Help us create a better future, quicker

At SP Energy Networks we’re powered by insight, obsessed with brilliant service, and committed to building high‑performance teams and we’re looking for a leader who shares that energy.

We’re now searching for a Head of Reporting, Performance & Insight, a pivotal senior leader and a key strategic partner to the Customer & Connections Director who will shape how customer, operational and regulatory insight comes together across our organisation. This is your opportunity to build a unified, future‑focused view of performance that drives smarter decisions, sharper action, and outstanding outcomes for the millions of customers we serve.

In this role, you’ll elevate insight into a true strategic asset: guiding senior leaders, influencing critical decisions, and helping position SPEN as the UK leader in customer service excellence. If you’re passionate about driving high performing teams, love customers and get excited about transforming data into real impact and seeing it through and want to play a defining role in the future of our Customer & Connections Directorate — this is your moment.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll lead the development of a single, data driven view of performance across our Customer Service Directorate—bringing together customer satisfaction, operational delivery, workforce insight and regulatory reporting.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, using insight to shape strategy, deliver brilliant customer outcomes and drive operational efficiency. You’ll also lead storm response reporting, workforce and cost modelling and budget control, benchmarking activity and risk governance, ensuring SPEN remains resilient, compliant and customer focused when it matters most.

Through innovative reporting, clear storytelling and strong leadership, you’ll ensure insight is not just reported—but used to drive action.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll be a senior leader with extensive experience in performance reporting, analytics and insight within a complex organisation. You’ll be confident translating complex data into compelling narratives that influence decision-making at the highest level. You’ll be accountable for turning the insight into action and delivering the outcomes across our organisation and contract partners.

You’ll bring a strong understanding of customer experience, regulatory awareness, and the ability to lead cross functional teams through insight led change, combined with a passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
