They will play a crucial role supporting the delivery of business objectives including the delivery of our large-scale, 10-year investment strategy of more than £350m across the ScottishPower estate.
The increased volume of delivery and projects requires specialised focus on how we baseline documentation to control and govern the output of programmes against requirement, and ensuring it is delivered in the right way. The Document & Governance Controller will support the Governance Manager (and other Document Controllers) by leading on the implementation of document control policies and procedures to enhance our ISO9001 framework, and to support the overall delivery of our strategic programmes.
This role will work closely with the Programme Manager, Planners and Operational Teams to ensure control and scheduling frameworks are aligned and adhered to as part of the overall investment strategy.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the definition, implementation and continuous improvement of Document Management standards and ways of working across the portfolio
- Accountability and oversight for document control on key programmes with a particular focus on property investment
- Administer the document control system including management of licenses and user permissions
- Onboard Contractors and other third parties in the document management system as required
- Provide Document Management training
- Generate portfolio-wide document management reports and metrics (e.g. compliance, number of documents in workflows, NCRs, etc.)
- Define programme documentation naming and coding standards
- Own and maintain programme document templates
- Audit Document Mgmt. standards across the project portfolio
- Responsible for developing the audit programme against each programme baseline for documentation to support reporting and governance
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Programme by supporting Lessons Learned
- In-depth knowledge of document control procedures
- Proven experience in leading and supporting indirect resources (at team and management level) on document control procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience managing documentation across multiple projects
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint and database software
- Quality auditing qualification
- Experience with ISO 9001 is a plus
- Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Previous document control experience
- Ability to manage changing workloads and meet deadlines
- Proficient IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, SharePoint and database systems
- Experience with construction projects highly desired
