Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Sustainable Procurement Advisor in Oslo, Norway to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Sustainable Procurement Advisor, you will play a key role in embedding sustainability into Scatec’s procurement processes. You will be responsible for driving supplier decarbonisation, integrating sustainability KPIs into procurement decision‑making, and enabling the organisation to reduce Scope 3 emissions through structured supplier engagement, standards, systems, and tools. In addition, you will be central in driving the development and evaluation of end‑of‑life strategies across our operating portfolio, covering all major procurement categories.

Main Responsibilities
- Drive Supplier Decarbonisation and Net Zero Alignment: to manage Scatec’s Net Zero Supplier Programme, ensuring strategic supplier engagement and alignment with long‑term targets for quantifiable GHG reductions in purchased goods; To ensure delivery of annual workshops with 100% of strategic suppliers on climate change, net zero initiatives and decarbonisation expectations; To manage the launch and implementation of Scatec’s targeted Supplier Decarbonisation Support Programme (from 2026) for suppliers with the highest climate impact or reduction potential.
- Prepare Scatec for CBAM Compliance: to lead procurement‑related readiness for EU CBAM requirements, including identification of CBAM‑relevant goods and suppliers; to establish processes for collecting and managing supplier‑level embedded emissions data; and to engage strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders to mitigate CBAM risk and cost exposure through procurement strategies and contracts.
- Integrate Sustainability into Procurement Processes and Tools: to ensure full integration of climate and sustainability criteria across the procurement lifecycle, including supplier screening, tender evaluation and contract management; To develop sustainability assessment criteria for new suppliers and ensure adoption across procurement teams globally.
- Develop and Maintain Scatec’s Supply Chain Sustainability Management System: to coordinate the expansion of the Supply Chain Sustainability Management System to include standardised sustainability metrics, data governance frameworks and real‑time emissions tracking.
- Conduct Market and Category Sustainability Insights: to lead in‑depth Supplier & Category Market Insight analyses to identify decarbonisation trends, innovation pathways, and best available technologies across solar PV, batteries, inverters and related categories; To translate market insights into procurement strategies that accelerate Scope 3 reductions and support Scatec’s net‑zero pathway.
- ESG Supplier Qualification and Audits: to establish and manage ESG qualification criteria and audit processes for suppliers, ensuring compliance with Scatec’s sustainability standards.
- Support Circularity, Decommissioning and End‑of‑Life Requirements: to develop corporate standards and procedures for decommissioning, ensuring defective or end‑of‑life components are recycled or repurposed where possible; to engage suppliers and industry partners to build circularity solutions into commercial contracts and technical specifications.
- University degree in sustainability, supply chain management, engineering, environmental science, business, or related field.
- Direct experience with supply chain sustainability, responsible sourcing, procurement processes or supplier engagement
- Experience with GHG accounting (Scope 3), decarbonisation initiatives or climate‑related supplier programmes
- Experience working with multi‑stakeholder interfaces in a matrix organisation.
