Emissions Engineer
SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Emissions Engineer provides air emissions engineering services to support SaskEnergy’s compliance with air pollutant and greenhouse gas regulations and commitment to environmental stewardship. This position leads projects and initiatives to reduce corporate emissions, provides specialized technical services and expertise to internal business units, and collaborates with industry, regulators, customers, and other external stakeholders to achieve corporate emission reduction goals.

Position Details
- Non-union - This position is permanent full time.
- Lead projects and initiatives focused on reducing corporate air pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions.
- Manage air emissions data housed within the Corporate Emissions Data Management System, which includes quantifying, analyzing, and reporting air emissions.
- Develop and implement regulatory compliance plans in collaboration with other internal stakeholders.
- Perform emissions calculations in accordance with recognized measurement, reporting and verification methodologies.
- Provide technical support and subject matter expertise to various stakeholders, to support achieving short-term and long-term reduction targets.
- Effectively communicate on topics related to air emissions management and climate change to a variety of internal and external audiences.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Environmental or Chemical preferred).
- Professional Engineer Designation and registered to practice in Saskatchewan.
- Five (5) years of progressive experience in relevant engineering principles, research methods, regulatory interpretation, standards development, and other elements employed in air emissions management systems.
- Knowledge of emissions legislation and calculation methodologies for natural gas systems.
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
