Role Description The Payroll Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurgaon, responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll operations for the organization. This role includes managing the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, verifying time and attendance data, and ensuring compliance with applicable payroll tax and statutory regulations. The Payroll Team Lead will supervise and support payroll team members, allocate tasks, review work, and drive continuous improvement in payroll processes and internal controls. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve coordinating with HR and Finance on employee benefits, resolving payroll-related queries, maintaining payroll records, and preparing reports and summaries for management. The role requires strong attention to detail, ownership of service quality, and the ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism.


Qualifications

  • 12-15 years experience in India payroll and complainces
  • Demonstrated expertise in payroll operations, including Payroll Administration and Payroll Services.
  • Strong knowledge of Payroll Taxes and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing Employee Benefits and coordinating with HR and Finance on compensation and benefits matters.
  • Proven Team Management skills, including mentoring, workload prioritization, and performance oversight.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and MS Excel; experience with ERP or HRIS systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Gurgaon, handle confidential information responsibly, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or a related field; prior experience in a payroll lead or senior payroll role is preferred.
