Project Manager ($45-52 p.hr)

Sapphire Recruitment is partnering with an innovative advanced technology manufacturer in the Syracuse, NY area to hire a Project Manager.

This role will play a key role in coordinating new product introduction (NPI) projects and managing the transition of electronic products from engineering development into production at an external contract manufacturing facility.

  • 1st Shift Schedule (M–F). Hybrid work structure available.
  • 6 month contract project assignment.
  • Coordinate cross functional engineering and manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing transfer projects.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, action items, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering documentation, technical specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal engineering teams and overseas contract manufacturing partners.
  • Track project progress, resolve outstanding issues, and ensure manufacturing readiness.
  • Develop and improve standardized manufacturing transfer processes and procedures.

Qualifications :

  • Project management experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
  • Experience with NPI, manufacturing transfers, or contract manufacturing preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic hardware, PCBs, or electromechanical assemblies.
  • Experience coordinating BOMs, technical documentation, and project deliverables.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional technical teams.
