Job Title: Lead Installer

Summary:

‪The Lead Installer position is a contributing member of a solar installation construction crew. The Lead Installer is responsible to work as a team with the Project Manager and Installers to complete residential and commercial solar installation projects. This position will have the additional responsibility of guiding and coordinating fellow installers on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Installation of the mechanical systems of ground or roof mounted solar system

• ‪Reading plans and perform the layout of the design drawings.

• Ensure all related equipment necessary for the installation is available and onsite

• Schedule the installation crew for jobs in the pipeline.

• Assemble the racking and solar array

• ‪Assemble equipment along with properly sealing all roof penetrations

• Electrical installation, wire management, electrical tie-in, conduit work

• ‪Project clean up including client site and installation vehicle

• ‪Leading the crew through effective and efficient installation involving above steps

• ‪Provides professional organization, guidance and support to fellow crew members

Qualifications

• ‪Previous solar installation experience required

• ‪Must have electrical and/or roofing experience

• ‪Demonstrated leadership experience

• ‪Attention to detail

• ‪A good driving record

• ‪Documentation skills

• ‪Professional appearance and client interaction

• ‪Construction related experience

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCad preferred.

‪Physical Requirements

• ‪Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)

• Ability to work safely in a branch/warehouse/rooftop environment

• ‪Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work

• ‪Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings

• ‪Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces

• ‪Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
