Portfolio Manager – Energy and Climate Resilience
The Federal Division is seeking an experienced portfolio manager to oversee the Energy and Climate Resilience portfolio.
In this role, the portfolio manager will collaborate closely with the Service Line Leader, working together to empower a team of energy experts, project managers, and analysts. The primary focus will be on delivering project excellence and ensuring client satisfaction throughout all engagements.
The successful candidate will take charge of leading the delivery of high-quality consulting services, consistently promoting strategic initiatives that align with the division’s objectives. A key responsibility will be to maintain and enhance client satisfaction by providing exceptional service and supporting the team in achieving outstanding results.
General Duties
Responsible for directing and leading client-oriented teams in the development, implementation, and management of energy, climate, and sustainability projects for Federal, State and Local Government and other key clients. Key responsibilities for this role include:
Travel: up to 20%
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000

Portfolio Manager – Energy and Climate Resilience
The Federal Division is seeking an experienced portfolio manager to oversee the Energy and Climate Resilience portfolio.

General Duties
Responsible for directing and leading client-oriented teams in the development, implementation, and management of energy, climate, and sustainability projects for Federal, State and Local Government and other key clients. Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective portfolio integration and seamless execution of projects.
- Regularly assess and report on portfolio health, including financial performance, resource utilization, and progress toward strategic goals.
- Develop and implement portfolio initiatives to support decision-making, risk management, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to cross-functional teams, ensuring robust integration of engineering principles and seamless execution of complex energy and climate resilience projects.
- Conduct regular technical reviews and comprehensive assessments of portfolio performance, including financial analysis, resource allocation, and alignment with strategic engineering objectives.
- Design, implement, and monitor portfolio initiatives that support data-driven decision-making, risk mitigation, and adherence to organizational and engineering standards.
- Lead the engineering design, technical evaluation, and execution of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and electrification projects, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, review, and present detailed technical reports, engineering presentations, and proposals to stakeholders and clients.
- Deliver specialized training and capacity-building initiatives for Energy and Climate Resilience (ECR) team members, promoting technical excellence and continuous professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage multiple projects and initiatives within a diverse portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Skilled in prioritizing resources and optimizing project timelines to maximize portfolio value and achieve targeted outcomes.
- Experienced in monitoring portfolio performance metrics, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Proficient in stakeholder engagement and communication to facilitate portfolio decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of federal and government programs and policies related to climate resilience and energy efficiency, such as the Energy Resilience Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP); Resource Efficiency Management (REM); Utilities Privatization.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency, renewable energy, and carbon reduction strategies and technologies for buildings, industry, transportation, and/or cities.
- Knowledge of relevant national policies, standards, and best practices related to sustainability, energy, and climate resilience.
- Ability to conduct research, synthesize data, and communicate findings through clear and compelling reports, presentations, and case studies.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI) and AI tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- 10+ years of professional experience focused on energy, climate change, sustainability or related environmental issues as a consultant, from within a corporation, or in another relevant context.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline required
- Must be a US Citizen
- Professional Engineer: Electrical Engineer, Civil Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer
- Certified Energy Manager or Certified Energy Auditor
- Federal, State, and Local Government business development experience.
