Renewable Energy Analyst for AI Evaluation

Renewable Energy Analysts apply hands-on expertise in generation analysis, forecasting, and environmental markets to evaluate AI-generated content and to produce expert analytical outputs. You will complete real, practice-level tasks that mirror your professional workflows, helping improve AI understanding of renewable energy operations, forecasting, and REC market processes.

• Evaluate AI-generated content for technical accuracy against industry workflows and best practices in renewable generation and environmental markets.
• Produce expert-level analytical work and data outputs using the tools and methods you use in your professional practice.
• Complete structured project tasks such as building price or generation forecast models, producing renewable generation forecast outputs, developing PPA documentation, and performing REC verification and retirement activities.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback and annotations that guide AI models to better represent renewable energy workflows and market mechanics.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in renewable energy generation, forecasting, or environmental markets in roles such as Renewable Generation Performance Analyst, Renewable Asset Forecasting Analyst, REC / Environmental Markets Analyst, or equivalent energy industry positions.
• Bachelor''s degree or higher.
• Ability to independently produce work using one or more of the following tools, as applicable: WREGIS, AVEVA PI.
• Experience completing workflows including renewable generation forecasting and performance reporting, Renewable Generation Forecast Production, and Renewable Energy Certificate Verification and Retirement.
• Strong written communication, attention to detail, and proven ability to work independently in an asynchronous setting.

• Engagement type: flexible, hourly contract work, not a traditional salaried role; independent contractor relationship.
• Location: fully remote.
• Employment type: part time, no minimum hour requirement; contributors typically work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when assigned to an active project.
• Schedule: asynchronous and flexible, enabling participation alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.
• Project placement depends on current project needs; selection for a given project is not guaranteed, and contributors may be considered for future projects as they become available.

• Up to $80/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 students who are eligible for Curricular Practical Training or Optional Practical Training may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm whether participation meets your school’s CPT or OPT requirements. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported for this engagement.
• Any other work authorization requirements must be met prior to beginning contract work.
