Our client is a major manufacturer of wind turbines and other green energy solutions.

They are searching for multiple young and ambitious Wind Project Assistants to support with planning, coordination, documentation, and day-to-day execution of wind power projects. Initially, this role will focus heavily on administrative duties such as translation and interpretation of meetings and project materials. However, with enough time and technical training provided by the company, it will progress directly into a project engineering role.

Previous experience in the wind industry is NOT required. Strong Vietnamese and Mandarin language skills (reading, writing, speaking) are REQUIRED, as the role will frequently lead discussions between Vietnamese and Chinese project teams. Additionally, candidates should be highly-organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to begin a career in the wind industry.

You will be expected to work at remote project sites in Vietnam, for up to weeks or months at a time. Please do not apply if you are looking for regular weekend trips back to the city, or cannot stay for long periods in the countryside.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and day-to-day administration of wind power projects from preparation to execution phases.
  • Facilitate communication between Chinese and Vietnamese project teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide Mandarin-to-Vietnamese and Vietnamese-to-Mandarin interpretation during meetings, site activities, and calls.
  • Translate project documents, technical materials, emails, meeting minutes, reports, specifications, schedules, and other project-related information between Mandarin and Vietnamese.
  • Maintain and organize project documentation, drawings, reports, specifications, correspondence, meeting records, and other project files.
  • Follow up with internal departments, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure assigned actions and deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Monitor project timelines and provide updates regarding outstanding tasks, milestones, delays, and other project issues.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, logistics, installation, commissioning, and other project activities as required.
  • Frequently travel as needed to support meetings, interpretation, documentation, and coordination activities.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 1-3 years of postgraduate working experience, preferably in administrative, project management, and/or civil engineering-related roles. However, this is NOT required.
  • Strong Vietnamese and Mandarin language proficiency is REQUIRED, including the ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin well.
  • Previous experience in the wind industry is a plus.
  • Decent experience handling tasks such as planning, coordination, documentation, and progress tracking.
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable handling technical documents, learning engineering terminology, drawings, specifications, schedules, and project reports - even without an engineering background.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn rapidly in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work on remote project sites for extended periods at a time, up to weeks or months.
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Chinese Studies, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
