Objective:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced lawyer specializing in land acquisition to join our legal team. As a Land Acquisition Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the acquisition of land for our solar power projects. You will be responsible for navigating the complex legal landscape surrounding land acquisition, ensuring compliance with regulations, and protecting the interests of the company.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with top law firms to conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential land parcels across India for solar power project development.
- Negotiate and draft sale deeds, leases, and other legal documents related to land acquisition and use.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project development teams, ESG team, to assess land suitability and mitigate risks.
- Represent the company in negotiations with landowners, aggregators, government agencies, and other third parties.
- Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting land acquisition and renewable energy development, and provide guidance to the legal team and other departments.
Requirements:
- Graduate from any of the NLU.
- 10+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on real estate, land acquisition, and energy laws.
- Proven experience in land acquisition transactions, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
