Electrical Superintendent- Solar
Job Description
Looking for an Electrical Solar Superintendent to oversee the on-site installation and execution of electrical systems for solar power projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, project specifications, and timelines.
Responsibilities include managing construction crews, coordinating with other departments and subcontractors, overseeing material and equipment, and troubleshooting field issues. The role requires strong leadership, experience in electrical installation and supervision, and often involves extensive travel to various job sites.
.Key Responsibilities--
- Lead and enforce safety procedures, conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and ensure all work complies with safety and quality systems.
Project Supervision:
Oversee the daily activities of electricians and subcontractors, ensuring electrical work, including module installation, cable pulling, and terminations, meets drawings and specifications.
Schedule and Cost Control:
Manage the electrical installation schedule, materials, and personnel to ensure timely project completion and stay within budget.
Coordination and Communication:
**Liaise with project management, other superintendents, engineering, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and resolve conflicts.
Documentation:
Maintain records of project activities, safety statistics, and material usage, and assist with project closeout documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Electrical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of electrical installation, including solar modules, inverters, switchgear, and medium-voltage (MV) systems.
Leadership:
Effective leadership skills to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and motivate workers.
Code Compliance:
In-depth understanding of electrical codes such as NEC and NESC, as well as project specifications and contract documents.
