Engineering The Senior Engineer I, Electrical Project Engineering , is responsible for overseeing the electrical systems design for onshore wind, solar, and storage projects from development to handover to operations. Engineering project support during pre-construction, construction, and turnover to Operations Specification and evaluation of major balance of plant electrical equipment Coordinating project engineering topics during construction Management of 3rd party engineering consultants Coordinating with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts during the project lifecycle Support NERC Compliance documents and studies Ensure that the highest level of health, safety, and environmental protection is incorporated into designs and standards Support the development of electrical engineering standards Support the development of engineering processes and procedures A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college engineering program Minimum 10 years of professional experience (post undergraduate) in electrical engineering Specific areas of experience and competency include transmission design, substation design, collection and distribution design, major equipment specification, power system studies, and system protection and control Experience in renewable generation (wind turbine, solar PV, and BESS storage) project design is preferred Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams Strong leadership, communication, and ability to meet deadlines This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE offices and field locations.
