Project Management
Exempt The Director, Estimating will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of 6-8 estimators. This role involves managing the estimation process for various projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in cost assessments, and collaborating with other departments to support project planning and execution. Lead and manage a team of 6-8 estimators, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and equipment
Ensure that all estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with project requirements and company standards
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure that estimates are based on the most current data
Review and analyze historical data and trends to improve the accuracy and reliability of future estimates
Monitor and report on the performance of the estimation team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures
Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
