THE TEAM

This position is based in Austria and can be located either at Rosewood Schloss Fuschl (near Salzburg) or Rosewood Vienna. You will partner with Rooms, Food and Beverage, Talent & Culture, Engineering, Procurement, Sales and Marketing, Communications and Wellness. Reporting to the Managing Directors of the three properties, with a dotted line to global Impact and Sustainability leadership, you will bring teams together around a shared purpose and help embed impact and sustainability into everyday decisions, operations and service culture.

YOUR ROLE

As Director of Impact and Sustainability, you will help shape Rosewood Hotel Group’s transformation into a purpose-led company committed to creating a future where people and place enrich one another.

This strategic, cross-functional role connects purpose with commercial relevance. You will translate global ambition into a differentiated property strategy, influence decisions, unlock collaboration and help the hotel express Rosewood’s purpose in ways that are locally rooted, creatively executed and meaningful to guests, associates, communities and clients.

You will strengthen brand desirability, enrich the guest experience and contribute to Rosewood Hotel Group’s wider transformation while orchestrating progress against groupwide impact and sustainability goals. Travel may be required.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Translate the Group’s purpose-led ambition into a locally relevant roadmap with clear priorities, milestones and ownership across functions.
• Evolve the hotel’s impact and sustainability strategy, identifying opportunities for the property to lead distinctively through its destination, community context and brand positioning.
• Mobilize hotel departments to embed our purpose of enriching people and place into decision-making and daily operations.
• Inspire guest experiences that create deeper connections to place, culture, craftsmanship, food systems and community.
• Turn the hotel’s impact and sustainability efforts into compelling narratives that enhance desirability among guests, business clients, talent and local stakeholders.
• Build understanding, ownership and pride among associates, making impact and sustainability part of everyday decision-making and service culture.
• Establish governance, accountability and measurement practices that support progress, data integrity, risk mitigation, legislative compliance and long-term business resilience.
• Develop strategic relationships with local suppliers, artisans, social enterprises, non-profits and cultural institutions to create lasting value for the hotel and destination.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

• A degree in Hospitality Management, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• You bring deep hospitality or luxury experience and the operational understanding required to influence hotel departments effectively.
• You are passionate about purpose-led transformation and believe that the future of luxury hospitality depends on creating value for people and planet.
• You have demonstrated your ability to lead through influence across functions and seniority levels, particularly where success depends on collaboration rather than direct control.
• You combine strategic thinking with the ability to translate a bigger vision into practical action.
• You bring strong commercial and brand instincts and can connect impact and sustainability with guest experience, positioning, reputation and business value.
• You are an excellent communicator and storyteller who can simplify complexity and shape compelling narratives for different audiences.
• You have a track record of building locally relevant partnerships and creatively differentiated programmes.
• You are a proactive, hands-on project leader who can create structure, maintain momentum and adapt as a new function develops within a fast-growing company.
