In-House Counsel
Robert Half Legal is partnering with a well-known and highly-regarded San Diego company in the technology/aerospace industry, seeking add another attorney to their busy team. The attorney must have 2-8 years of experience.
Summary of Role:
This in-house counsel will focus almost exclusively on contracts, specifically drafting and redlining. The types of contracts will be diverse, from purchase agreements to NDAs to manufacturing agreements. A high level of research & writing is expected. Ancillary duties related to M&A, securities, and corporate governance may be assigned occasionally. However, someone who likes to put their head down and crank out contracts will be best for this position.
Must-Haves:
- Top 70 law firm experience (the GC previously worked in Big Law)
- Top 14 law school (the GC went to Harvard)
- Desire to focus on [almost exclusively] contracts (this is a research & writing role)
- Ability to work on-site 4-5x/week (near intersection of 805 + 5 freeways)
- 2-8 years of licensed experience (no more, no less; the ideal candidate is 3-5)

Team:
- This in-house counsel will report directly to the General Counsel, and have hands-on interaction/feedback.
- Four other attorneys and ten other support staff work in the legal department.
- All are on-site daily.
