Cost Accountant

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join their finance team. This role will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing and operational costs, maintaining cost accounting systems, preparing financial reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and report on product costs, inventory, labor, and overhead variances. Based on general knowledge.

Maintain and update cost accounting systems, processes, and controls. Based on general knowledge.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management review. Based on general knowledge.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Based on general knowledge.

Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. Based on general knowledge.

Support month-end and year-end close processes related to cost accounting. Based on general knowledge.

Partner with operations and finance leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability. Based on general knowledge.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies. Based on general knowledge.

Assist with audits and provide documentation related to inventory and cost analysis. Based on general knowledge.
