Growing renewable energy developer looking for a sharp, deal-hungry Procurement Manager to own the Battery Energy Storage and Solar equipment category end to end.
This isn't a back-office support role. You'll be the company's commercial face to the market's most critical suppliers, leading high-stakes negotiations, shaping category strategy, and driving decisions that directly determine the cost of clean energy at utility scale.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite
What You'll Own
- Full sourcing cycle for utility-scale BESS and Solar Generation equipment, including strategy, RFPs, negotiation, contract execution, and supplier management
- Active contract management across BESS and Solar equipment, including QA, logistics, temporary storage, and safe harbor certification
- Market intelligence: upstream, midstream, and downstream supply chain dashboards that keep the company ahead of the market
- High-impact commercial negotiations: drive the deal, not just document it
- Procurement recommendations tied to price, performance, risk, quality, and ESG criteria
- Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Construction, Development, and Legal to keep projects on track and on budget
- Continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes that scale with the business
What You Bring
Technical & Commercial Expertise
- 2+ years of procurement experience specifically in Battery Storage and/or Solar Generation equipment (utility-scale preferred)
- 5+ years of general procurement experience
- Proven track record in complex contract negotiations: commercial, legal, and technical
- Deep understanding of U.S. power markets, transmission systems, and the economic drivers of renewable energy
- Strong quantitative orientation; Excel fluency
- Supply chain certification and/or a degree in a technical, business, or finance field is a plus
