- Working manager role to battery analysis team consisting of both thermal and structural analysis.
- Manage direct hire and contract resources.
- Coordinate incoming job requests with requestor and analysis group
- Manage analysis task tracking in Jira
- Standardize and document analysis procedures, methodologies, and reporting.
- Review reports for accuracy, completeness, and quality of work
- Manage model repository in AWS
- Perform durability and crash/impact analysis of battery using finite element tools including Optistruct, Abaqus, LS Dyna, and Hyperview/META.
- Profile generation for battery system testing
- Deliver correlated 1D Battery Thermal Model to Attributes and BMS Algorithms teams.
- Coordinate with vehicle analysis teams for analysis ownership alignments and software upkeep, methodologies, and reporting synergy.
- Coordinate with materials group to build materials cards for analysis.
- Minimum BS with 7+ years, MS with 5+ years or PhD with 3+ years in mechanical engineering or similar field.
- Experience in Optistruct, Abaqus, Hyperview/META, and LS-Dyna, with application to automotive structures.
- Strong academic background in solid mechanics, materials, and structural analysis.
- Experience with CATIA, experience with FEA model building from CAD data.
- Design and development of component and sub-system tests.
- Experience of preparing formal reports summarizing analysis results.
- Knowledge of material properties associated with automotive structures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- A strong understanding of the first-principal physics of automotive body structures and energy management.
- Knowledge of automotive design, development processes, and system requirements.
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $137,800.00 - $172,200.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
