We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to further our DevOps initiatives and drive continuous integration, software delivery, and deployment. As a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, while providing technical guidance and mentorship to the team. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. This position will report directly to our Sr. Manager, Factory Platform.
- Design and deploy edge solutions: Design, implement, and maintain on-premises edge infrastructure solutions, including servers, network devices, and storage, to support applications and services at the edge.
- Kubernetes administration: Manage and operate on-premises Kubernetes clusters, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Container orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Configuration management: Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible and Salt to automate server configuration and software deployment.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting: Implement monitoring solutions and troubleshoot infrastructure issues at the edge.
- Security: Implement and maintain security best practices for edge infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cloud infrastructure teams and development teams to ensure seamless integration between edge and cloud environments.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or related field, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience with on-premises infrastructure and edge computing.
- Linux expertise: Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, including system administration and networking.
- Kubernetes experience: Experience with Kubernetes, including cluster administration and deployment of containerized applications.
- Configuration management: Proficiency with at least one configuration management tool (e.g., Ansible, Salt).
- Containerization: Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
- Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts.
- Security: Knowledge of security best practices for on-premises infrastructure.
- Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash).
AWS Outposts experience is a plus.
