In this role, you will support reliability efforts for low-voltage equipment and components in Rivian’s ADAS (self-driving hardware), display, and infotainment systems. Working alongside a panel of experts in reliability and electrical engineering, you’ll contribute to creating mission profiles, setting reliability requirements, and defining lifetime criteria for various components. This role involves extensive data aggregation, statistical analysis, and the use of real-world fleet data to drive long-term component validation. Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support reliability efforts for low-voltage equipment and components in Rivian’s ADAS (self-driving hardware), display, and infotainment systems. This role involves extensive data aggregation, statistical analysis, and the use of real-world fleet data to drive long-term component validation.
- Assist in developing mission profiles and defining lifetime test requirements for ADAS, display, and infotainment components based on fleet data and industry standards.
- Help set and communicate reliability targets and testing plans for electronic components, subsystems, and assemblies, coordinating with design engineering and suppliers.
- Aggregate field data to analyze customer usage patterns, supporting validation and reliability improvement of key components.
- Utilize statistical tools and software (Excel, JMP, ReliaSoft) to analyze reliability data. Skills in Python and SQL are a plus.
- Gain hands-on experience in low-voltage component analysis, supporting component design, testing, and validation efforts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that reliability requirements align with design goals, contributing valuable data-driven insights.
Qualifications:
- Must be currently pursuing a Masters in Electrical Engineering, Data Science or related with an interest in reliability.
- Statistical and Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with statistical tools such as JMP or ReliaSoft is preferred. Python and SQL experience is advantageous.
- Electrical/Electronics Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly in low-voltage systems.
- Hardware Testing Experience: Exposure to hardware design or testing is a strong advantage.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying solutions and optimizing processes.

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Internships: The range of pay for internships is 25.00-51.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law.
