Sr. Data Analyst, Quality Systems

The Sr. Data Analyst role merges extensive manufacturing experience with strong statistical and analytical data mining expertise. In this position, you will collaborate with plant operations and manufacturing leaders, drive continuous improvements, and enhance business efficiency through data-informed decision-making. The opening will be located at our Normal, IL facility and reports directly to the Manager, Data Science.
Responsibilities:- Develop processes and tools to monitor related KPIs.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and quality departments to ensure BOM accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with the systems team to facilitate the seamless integration of quality systems with relevant defect and component data.
- Establish and manage defect and component data, ensuring robust version control and maintaining synchronization with all BOMs.
- Uses a variety of data mining/data analysis methods & tools, building models & algorithms and creating simulations in order bring cross-functional teams together on the manufacturing related decisions.
- Work with stakeholders throughout the Manufacturing to identify opportunities for improvements with leveraging data.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Analyze data for trends and patterns and interpret data with clear objectives in mind.
- Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
- Manages and improves existing reporting systems.
- 5-7 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models.
- Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
- Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and configurations.
- Adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization.
- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
- Proven ability to drive results with their data-based insights.
- Relevant analytics and process/tools experience.
- Strong problem-solving capability and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
- Understanding of manufacturing systems, methods, tools, standards, metrics and related tools is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a strong cross-functional and collaborative environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Illinois Based Applicants: $98,500-$123,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
