Role Summary:
The Data Analyst in Metrology team is a key architect of the data infrastructure within the department, handling daily dimensional data from multiple external & internal sources (labs, Inline VRSI stations, ATOS, EOL - CALIPRI, and CMM, Drive Unit). Analysts play a pivotal role in structuring this information to drive Dimensional KPI’s (Final Vehicle G&F, BIW Cp/Cpk). Analyze and maintain Dimensional data from internal and external sources to prepare reporting and support business decisions. This role is located in Normal, IL and will report to the Sr. Manager, Metrology.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain program KPI dashboards to highlight and execute business needs utilizing Tableau, HEX, and Zeiss Piweb platforms.
  • Develop and deploy tableau dashboards, applications, automated email systems & workflows, and advanced analytics.
  • Develop dashboard for managing all internal and external KPI’s in one place to keep track of their performance.
  • Publishing daily/weekly/monthly G&F PIST, BIW PIST, Cp/Cpk, Dimensional PDI, Warranty KPI reports and dimensional performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain Piweb reports for Dimensional-Metrology data to ensure accurate and timely insights for the Metrology and cross-functional teams.
  • Support cross functional teams with Dimensional Data analysis and develop custom dashboards to help prioritize & root cause issues.
  • Support quality prioritization for problem solving.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of Metrology processes and procedures.
  • Develop & Maintain the Gage calibration status database for entire facility.
Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience working in Metrology, Plant Quality etc.
  • Bachelors or Master's in Engineering/Data Analytics. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Highly proficient in Advanced Python for data crunching & analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn).
  • Strong practical knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, including process capability metrics (Pp, Ppk, Cp, Cpk).
  • Expertise in Advanced SQL, with specific experience in Databricks environments.
  • Skilled in creating data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, with HEX experience being a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in utilizing Command Line Interface (CLI) tools for efficient data handling.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team setting.
  • Familiarity with the automotive manufacturing industry landscape.
  • Experience with Zeiss Piweb for reporting and data analysis.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, including advanced skills in AppSheet and connecting via API’s.
Pay Disclosure:
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Illinois Based Applicants: $78,200-$98,700 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
