Role Summary:

In this position you will be part of a Vehicle Line team that is responsible for the development and execution of a vehicle program. This role requires high levels of initiative, independent judgement, analytical framing, and indirect leadership capability. You should be able to lead teams to creative solutions and develop new processes in a compressed timeline. Your focus will be on products built and produced in Rivian’s Georgia factory, ensuring cross functional readiness of both facilities and products.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for all aspects of Georgia based vehicle programs, ensuring delivery to quality, cost, timing, and commercial objectives across product, factory, and launch readiness.

  • Indirect leadership of cross-functional teams (Product, Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Procurement, Legal, Logistics/Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, EHS, Operations) to deliver program objectives.

  • Establish and run program governance, including integrated roadmaps, program gateways, and weekly executive reviews;

  • Ensure effective risk, dependency, and change management is conducted across the Georgia based programs, with proactive mitigation plans and transparent escalation.

  • Lead integrated readiness reviews encompassing product readiness, factory layout & design, facilities readiness, equipment installation & factory bring-up, material availability, logistics flows, supplier readiness & procurement, and vehicle builds.

  • Ensure alignment between product scope and manufacturing / facilities execution

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience on a program team or similar experience leading complex, cross-functional consumer programs that span product and factory scopes

  • Launch experience

  • Program Manager background (PMO governance experience a plus) with exposure to multiple functional areas (Product, ME, Facilities/Construction, Procurement/Sourcing, Legal/Contracts, Logistics/Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations)

  • Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with internal and external partners, and to influence without direct authority

  • Able to work efficiently under a high amount of work/stress.

  • High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex.

  • Knowledge of program management tools and systems (e.g., integrated schedules, risk registers, dashboards) as it pertains to the job-related area.

Pay Disclosure:

Salary range for California Based Applicants: $196,000-$245,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
