Our client is an Investment Manager with a specialist focus on greenfield energy transition infrastructure across Europe and Australia. Together with Phillip Riley, they are seeking an experienced and passionate Investment Manager and Senior Investment Associate to lead projects from origination to exit.


Founded by senior executives from the renewable energy and funds management industries and with the backing of a leading global financial services company headquartered in Europe, the founding partners - along with the 15 team members already hired in Europe - bring together extensive specialised investment experience in energy transition infrastructure across a range of technologies, geographies, and industrial partners.


About the role


This role will support the execution of transactions within the Fund’s mandate and will contribute to devising and refining an investment strategy for Australia/NZ together with the local Managing Partner and Investment Director. Key Responsibilities:


Responsibilities in this role will include

  • Develop and execute a regional investment strategy from origination to exit;
  • Establish and manage relationships to gain access to potential transactions;
  • Complete detailed due diligence and financial modelling on selected projects;
  • Negotiate all relevant contracts including EPC, O&M, off-take, government and debt;
  • Project manage to a financial close date, aligning execution contracts;
  • Monitor the market to secure and structure optimal debt level needed to optimise returns;
  • Develop recommendations around the optimal disposal of assets;


About you


Our client is looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment where change is inevitable. Ideally, you will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in the ANZ renewable infrastructure related market;
  • Significant experience in origination and transaction execution of energy infrastructure assets;
  • Strong commercial acumen coupled with analytical skills;
  • Strong project execution and operations management skills;
  • Strategic thinking skills.
