We prioritize reforestation in highly degraded areas, planting a diverse mix of native trees and aromatic plants that contribute to carbon offsetting, foster biodiversity, and generate positive impact for local communities.


Our approach combines nature and technology by monitoring the CO2 absorbed by each tree we plant using our proprietary algorithm, Treegital, a system powered by satellite technology and AI. It estimates the tons of carbon offset, the weeks of rural employment generated, improvements in water resources, and the positive impact on local biodiversity and soil regeneration.

We’re a team of 14 based in Madrid, and after five years of building and growing our impact, we’re now looking for a purpose-driven, strategic, and results-oriented Head of Sales (she/he/them) to lead our commercial strategy and accelerate our growth in the climate and ESG space and expanding our forests.


Your Role:


This is a full-time Head of Sales role with ReTree, based in Madrid with a hybrid working strategy (remote and in office). This position will report to our Managing Director. The main responsibilities for this role include identifying and landing agreements with companies that want to offset their carbon footprint (B2B), using our carbon monitoring system (Treegital) to measure and communicate their environmental impact and expand our client’s forests as much as possible. The Head of Sales will manage a team of 4 people.

Your Challenge:


Sales & Growth:


  • Define and implement Retree’s sales strategy.
  • Lead the full commercial pipeline for Retree’s key services:
  • Carbon offsetting through projects focused on biodiversity and soil regeneration.
  • Treegital: platform measuring carbon offsets in real-time with certified results and communication features.
  • Team up with our Marketing Manager to define MQLs and SQLs, co-own the funnel, and share responsibility for growth KPIs. You will collaborate on CRM workflows and translating client’s needs into concrete actions that will help to boost conversion.
  • Manage and inspire a growing sales team composed of 4 people.
  • Set clear KPIs and sales targets for the team and ensure consistent follow-up on performance and conversion rates.
  • Own the sales tracking and forecasting process, providing regular, data-driven reports and insights to the General Management team.
  • Identify new B2B market opportunities and build strategic partnerships with consultants, ESG certifiers, and enterprise clients.
  • Work closely with the product, tech, and communication teams to align commercial offerings with client needs and market trends.
  • Help scale the team and structure as the company expands in Iberia and Europe


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, environmental sciences, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within Sustainability, ESG or SaaS/Climate tech. Startup background is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing sales and customer success teams.
  • Skilled in sales forecasting, CRM management, and reporting to executive leadership.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with new EU regulations on ESG as CSRD, Double Materiality Assessments, EUDR, Greenwashing would be a plus.
  • Passion for climate action, nature, social impact and purpose driven business

  • Proficiency at MS Office suite and Hubspot.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English

  • Hybrid contract based in Madrid (Delicias). Work from home 70% of the time if you want.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Salary base depending on experience with a minimum of 55.000 € per year + Performance Based Incentives.
  • Holidays: 30 days
  • Summertime: remote work within the CET time zone and working hours reduced to 35 hours/week.
