The Maintenance Planner will oversee and execute maintenance planning activities across multiple automated production sites. This role is central to ensuring equipment reliability, standardizing preventative maintenance strategies, and driving continuous improvement in asset management. The position is highly execution-focused, requiring strong CMMS expertise and deep technical knowledge of equipment and automation systems. Implement preventative maintenance (PM) plans and integrate new equipment into CMMS. Develop and standardize PM schedules aligned with organizational maintenance goals. Serve as the primary liaison between maintenance and operations teams. Support workforce planning and spare parts inventory consolidation across sites. Lead CMMS updates, provide user training, and act as system administrator. Ensure compliance with documentation and maintenance record requirements. Use CMMS data to prepare KPI reports and dashboards (e.g., Drive continuous improvement initiatives within maintenance planning and execution. 3–5 years of dedicated maintenance planning experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment . ✅ Strong technical knowledge of automation systems and equipment breakdown structures - CMMS-only familiarity is not sufficient . ✅ Proven experience as a maintenance planner as the primary role , not as an add-on to other engineering or coordinator responsibilities. ✅ Strong CMMS administration experience across multiple sites. ✅ Ability to travel up to 20% across the US and Canada. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. ❌ Engineers who only occasionally perform maintenance planning. Project Coordinators without relevant technical experience.
