Role Description

We are seeking a highly organised, relationship-oriented, and adaptable Project Associate to support the development and delivery of critical sustainability workforce initiatives, with a particular focus on Train-the-Trainer programs, industry engagement, stakeholder coordination, and capability-building projects.


This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys working across multiple functions including project coordination, stakeholder engagement, partnerships, training delivery support, research, events, and strategic program operations.


The successful candidate will work closely with industry, training providers, government, community stakeholders, and internal teams to support the design and implementation of workforce development initiatives that strengthen sustainability capability across sectors.

Key Responsibilities


Program and Project Coordination (60%)

  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of sustainability skills and workforce development projects
  • Assist in the implementation of Train-the-Trainer programs and related learning initiatives
  • Coordinate timelines, deliverables, stakeholder communications, and project tracking across multiple workstreams
  • Prepare briefing notes, reports, presentations, meeting documentation, and project updates
  • Support program logistics including scheduling, venue coordination, participant management, and training operations
  • Maintain organised records, databases, and stakeholder engagement documentation


Stakeholder and Partnership Engagement (20%)

  • Support engagement with industry bodies, employers, training providers, government agencies, community organisations, and strategic partners
  • Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships across the sustainability and clean energy ecosystem
  • Coordinate meetings, roundtables, workshops, consultations, and partnership discussions
  • Support stakeholder follow-up, relationship management, and collaboration activities
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping and ecosystem research


Industry and Workforce Development Support (10%)

  • Conduct research and analysis on sustainability workforce trends, skills gaps, training needs, policy developments, and industry priorities
  • Support development of workforce capability frameworks, training pathways, and sector engagement initiatives
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for collaboration across industry, education, government, and workforce stakeholders
  • Contribute to program improvement and strategic planning activities


Events, Workshops and Roundtables (5%)

  • Support the coordination and delivery of industry roundtables, consultations, forums, workshops, and training events
  • Assist with speaker engagement, agenda development, participant coordination, and event operations
  • Support preparation of event materials, communications, and post-event reporting
  • Help facilitate productive stakeholder engagement and collaboration outcomes


Operational and Generalist Support (5%)

  • Assist with budgeting coordination, procurement processes, invoicing, and basic financial tracking
  • Support contract administration and documentation processes where required
  • Coordinate across multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Provide flexible support across projects and emerging organisational priorities


Desired Skills and Competencies

Essential

  • Experience in project coordination, program support, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, consulting, training, workforce development, policy, CSR, sustainability, education, or related sectors
  • Strong organisational and multitasking capabilities with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience coordinating workshops, events, consultations, or roundtables
  • Research, reporting, and presentation development skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and initiative
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment


Highly Regarded

  • Understanding of sustainability, climate, clean energy, workforce transition, or skills development sectors
  • Experience working with government, industry associations, training providers, or community organisations
  • Familiarity with vocational education, training systems, or capability-building initiatives
  • Exposure to policy, advocacy, regulatory, or industry engagement environments
  • Basic understanding of contracts, governance, compliance, or legal processes
  • Basic financial coordination and budgeting experience
  • Experience supporting partnerships or multi-stakeholder initiatives


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, public policy, development studies, business, management, social sciences, environmental studies, education, economics, communications, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in project coordination, consulting, sustainability, CSR, workforce development, policy, partnerships, training, industry engagement, or related sectors
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities
  • Experience supporting programs, partnerships, workshops, consultations, training initiatives, or industry engagement activities
  • Strong written communication, reporting, and presentation development capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace tools, including presentations, spreadsheets, and project coordination documentation
  • Experience working with government, industry bodies, training providers, development sector organisations, or membership organisations is highly regarded
  • Familiarity with sustainability, clean energy, climate, workforce transition, or vocational education ecosystems is advantageous 


Compensation and Benefits

  • Indicative compensation range: INR 18–20 LPA, commensurate with experience and capabilities
  • 12-month contract with possibility of extension and/or transition into an ongoing role based on performance and organisational requirements
