About us

We develop, build, own and operate renewable energy projects across the United States, with a portfolio spanning utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS). Because we keep our assets for the long haul, our teams work across the entire project lifecycle, from the first site study to decades of operation. Our San Diego office is the home base for a program designed to build our next generation of clean energy leaders.

The program

Our Rotation Program is a two-year, full-time position for early-career professionals who want to see the whole business before choosing a specialty. You will complete three eight-month rotations across our core teams, tailored to your interests and strengths:

• Development: site identification, permitting, interconnection and the commercial work that turns an idea into a buildable project
• Engineering & Construction: technical design, contractor management and the delivery of projects on the ground
• Finance & Asset Management: project finance, investment analysis and the commercial performance of our operating fleet
• You will finish the program with a permanent placement on the team where you and we see the best fit, carrying a network and a cross-company understanding that few people build in their first decade, let alone their first two years.

What you will do

• Contribute as a full team member in each rotation, with real deliverables and ownership from week one
• Support live projects: analyses, models, applications, technical reviews and site visits across the country
• Present your work to senior leaders at the end of each rotation
• Learn directly from experienced developers, engineers and financiers, with a dedicated mentor throughout
• Build the cross-functional fluency that makes careers in this industry move fast

What we are looking for

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, economics, finance, business or a related field
• A demonstrated interest in clean energy and the transition to a decarbonized grid
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with data, spreadsheets and new tools
• Clear communication and the confidence to work with people across every part of a business
• Adaptability: rotations mean new teams, new problems and a steep learning curve, three times over
• Authorization to work in the United States
• No prior energy experience is required. Internships, research or campus involvement that show initiative are a plus. We hire for aptitude and attitude.
