Graduate Renewable Energy Engineer
Graduate Renewable Energy Engineer
Location: London (hybrid)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience
Type: Full-time, permanent
About us
We develop, build and own renewable energy assets across the UK, with a growing portfolio spanning onshore wind, solar and battery energy storage (BESS). As an owner-operator, we manage projects through their entire lifecycle: from early-stage development and consenting through construction and into long-term operation. Our London team is expanding, and we are looking for a graduate engineer to grow with us.
The role
You will join our engineering team supporting projects at every stage of the pipeline. This is a genuine development role: you will work across technologies, learn from experienced engineers, and take on real responsibility early. Day to day, you will:
- Support the design and technical review of wind, solar and BESS projects, from feasibility through to construction
- Carry out energy yield assessments, site analyses and technical due diligence
- Work with grid connection applications and liaise with network operators
- Review technical documentation from contractors, consultants and equipment suppliers
- Support construction and commissioning activities, with site visits across the UK
- Monitor and analyse the performance of our operational assets, identifying improvements
- Contribute to internal tools, processes and standards as our portfolio grows
What we are looking for
- A degree (2:1 or above) in engineering: electrical, mechanical, renewable energy, civil or a related discipline
- A genuine interest in renewable energy and the UK's energy transition
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data
- Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to explain technical topics simply
- A proactive, curious approach: you ask questions, take ownership and want to learn
- The right to work in the UK
- Experience through internships, placements or university projects in energy is welcome but not essential. We hire for aptitude and attitude, and we will invest in your development.
What you will get
- £35,000 - £45,000 starting salary, dependent on experience
- Hybrid working from our London office
- A structured development plan with mentoring from senior engineers
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle across three technologies, rare at graduate level
- 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, pension, and support for chartership
- The chance to grow with a company building and operating real assets in the energy transition
