Renewable Energy Engineer (Graduate)
Renewable Energy Engineer (Graduate)
Location: Dublin (hybrid)
Salary: €50,000 - €60,000, depending on experience
Type: Full-time, permanent
About us
We are a clean energy company that develops, builds, owns and operates renewable projects across the island of Ireland. Our growing portfolio spans onshore wind, solar and battery energy storage (BESS), and as a long-term owner we stay with every project from the first feasibility study through years of operation. Ireland has some of the best wind resources in Europe and ambitious targets for the decade ahead, and our Dublin team is growing to meet them.
What you will do
You will support engineering across our project pipeline, learning from experienced engineers while taking on real responsibility from the start. Your work will include:
- Supporting engineering design and technical reviews for wind, solar and BESS projects at every stage
- Preparing energy yield assessments, site evaluations and technical due diligence
- Assisting with grid connection applications and coordination with EirGrid and ESB Networks processes
- Reviewing technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment suppliers
- Supporting construction and commissioning, with travel to project sites across Ireland
- Analysing performance data from our operating assets and recommending improvements
- Contributing to the tools, templates and standards our engineering team relies on
What we are looking for
- A degree (2.1 or above) in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
- A genuine interest in renewable energy and Ireland's energy transition
- Strong analytical ability and comfort working with data and spreadsheets
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to make technical topics simple
- Initiative and curiosity: you take ownership, ask good questions and learn quickly
- The right to work in Ireland
- Internships, placements or project experience in energy are an advantage but not essential. We hire for aptitude and attitude, and we invest in developing our engineers.
What we offer
- €50,000 - €60,000 starting salary, depending on experience
- Hybrid working from our Dublin office
- A structured development path with mentorship from senior engineers
- Hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle across three technologies
- Pension contributions, generous annual leave and wellbeing support
- Support for professional development, including your pathway to Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland
- The chance to grow with a company building and operating real clean energy assets
