Clean Energy Rotation Program (Entry-Level)
Location: Calgary, AB (hybrid)
Salary: CAD $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience
Type: Full-time | Two-year rotational program
About us
We develop, build, own and operate renewable energy projects across Canada, with a portfolio spanning utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS). Alberta has become one of the most active renewable energy markets in the country, and our Calgary office sits at the centre of it. This program develops the people we expect to help lead that growth.
The program
This is a two-year, full-time rotational position for early-career professionals who want to understand the whole clean energy business before choosing a specialty. You will complete three eight-month rotations across our core functions, shaped around your strengths and interests:
- Development: siting, permitting, grid connection and the commercial groundwork that takes a project from map to shovel-ready
- Engineering & Construction: technical design, contractor coordination and delivering projects in the field
- Finance & Asset Management: investment analysis, project finance and the commercial performance of our operating fleet
- You will finish the program with a permanent placement on the team where you have found the strongest fit, along with a network and a company-wide understanding that most professionals take years to build.
What you will do
- Join each team as a full contributor, with real deliverables and ownership from your first week
- Support live projects through analysis, modelling, applications, technical reviews and site visits across Canada
- Present your work to senior leadership at the end of each rotation
- Learn directly from experienced developers, engineers and financiers, with a dedicated mentor throughout
- Build the cross-functional fluency that accelerates careers in this industry
What we are looking for
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, economics, finance, business or a related field
- A demonstrated interest in clean energy and the transition to a decarbonized grid
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with data, spreadsheets and learning new tools
- Clear communication and the confidence to work across every part of a business
- Adaptability: three rotations mean three new teams, new problems and steep learning curves
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- No prior energy experience is required. Internships, co-ops, research or campus involvement that show initiative are an asset. We hire for aptitude and attitude.
What we offer
- CAD $65,000 - $85,000 base salary, depending on experience
- Hybrid working from our Calgary office
- A structured two-year program with a dedicated mentor and visibility to senior leadership
- Guaranteed permanent placement on successful completion
- Extended health and dental benefits, RRSP matching, and generous vacation
- Relocation support for candidates moving to Calgary
- A front-row seat to one of the fastest-growing clean energy markets in North America
