Salary: NZD $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience

About us

We are a clean energy company that develops, builds, owns and operates renewable projects across New Zealand. Our growing portfolio spans utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS), and as a long-term owner we stay with every project from the first feasibility study through years of operation. New Zealand's electricity is already among the most renewable in the world, and the next chapter, replacing the remaining fossil generation and electrifying transport and industry, is being written now. We are expanding our Auckland team to help write it.

What you will do

• You will support engineering across our project pipeline, learning from experienced engineers while taking on real responsibility from the start. Your work will include:
• Supporting engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects at every stage
• Preparing energy yield assessments, site evaluations and technical due diligence
• Assisting with grid connection applications and coordination with Transpower and local network companies
• Reviewing technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment suppliers
• Supporting construction and commissioning, with travel to project sites across the country
• Analysing performance data from our operating assets and recommending improvements
• Contributing to the tools, templates and standards our engineering team relies on

What we are looking for

• A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
• A demonstrated interest in renewable energy and the clean energy transition
• Strong analytical ability and comfort working with data and spreadsheets
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to make technical topics simple
• Initiative and curiosity: you take ownership, ask good questions and learn quickly
• The right to work in New Zealand
• Internships, summer work or project experience in energy are valued but not required. We hire for aptitude and attitude, and we invest in developing our engineers.
