2. About the Opportunity:
The Market Research & Evaluation Sr. Manager or Principal will lead the design and execution of research and evaluation plans for market transformation initiatives. This senior role involves providing technical oversight, managing projects from start to finish, and supporting business development and team growth. The position has a critical impact by informing planning, program implementation, and investment decisions through rigorous market research and evaluation. The role requires collaboration across cross-functional teams and leadership of external contractors and internal staff to ensure alignment of research outcomes with organizational goals.
3. Responsibilities:
• Design research and evaluation plans to support planning, program implementation, and investment decisions
• Lead research and evaluation activities for assigned market transformation initiatives
• Provide technical expertise and quality management for market research and evaluation efforts
• Mentor team members on best practices in research and evaluation
• Coordinate between market research, evaluation, forecasting, and strategy leads to align efforts
• Review research and evaluation plans and deliverables
• Manage communication of research findings internally and externally
• Oversee third-party contractors conducting market research and evaluations
• Lead a team of process evaluation and market research professionals
• Manage projects including plans, budgets, deliverables, and presentations
• Organize and lead client and stakeholder meetings
• Identify opportunities to grow work with existing clients and develop new business
• Supervise primary and secondary data collection and analysis
• Guide junior and mid-level staff on methods and quality control
• Lead and contribute to technical report writing and recommendations
• Maintain timely client communication and sound consulting practices
• Perform other duties as assigned
4. Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in market research or evaluation
• Bachelor’s degree in Social and Environmental Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, or related field; Master’s preferred
• Experience developing and implementing research, evaluation, and analysis plans
• Skilled in quantitative and qualitative analysis and interpretation
• Experience with secondary and primary market research methods
• Proficient in research instrument design using multiple techniques
• Working knowledge of statistics and sampling for high-quality research
• Competency with one or more data analysis software packages
• Strong writing, data analysis, interpretation, and presentation skills
• Minimum 3 years supervising research and analysis professionals preferred
