2. About the Opportunity:

The Energy Efficiency Retail Program Lead plays a crucial role in advancing energy efficiency initiatives in Michigan by managing partnerships with major retailers. This position facilitates point-of-purchase discount programs to increase accessibility and affordability of energy-efficient products for residential customers. The role contributes directly to program success and may engage in new business proposals and program development.


3. Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary analyst for tracking program benchmarks, retailer participation, and incentive budget impact.

• Develop and generate unique coupon codes and promotional identifiers for retail partners.

• Reconcile sales and redemption data from retailers with internal records to ensure rebate accuracy.

• Coordinate with retail corporate offices to integrate coupon codes into POS systems.

• Analyze redemption trends and program sell-through data to inform Program Managers.

• Conduct audits to prevent incentive duplication and ensure compliance with utility regulations.

• Maintain detailed SOPs for code generation and data management.

• Develop and maintain timely and accurate reporting.

• Collaborate on procedural documentation supporting program management.

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports.

• Perform other assigned duties.


4. Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data coordination, program operations, or retail analytics, preferably in energy, utility, or rebate sectors.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.

• Ability to quickly learn proprietary software and project management tools.

• High precision in data entry and code generation.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple promotion timelines.

• Ability to communicate technical data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

• Process-oriented with focus on workflow efficiency.

• Collaborative and results-driven mindset.

• Ability to work independently with ownership and initiative.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in business operations, data analytics, information systems, or related field.

• Interest in sustainability and environmental impact.


Preferred:

• Experience in energy efficiency, retail coupon, or utility programs.


5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary range is $55,000 to $75,000, with potential for discretionary annual bonus.

• Final compensation depends on experience, education, and location.
