ReForest London (RFL) is a small but mighty non-profit organization with a vision to see our community thrive in a healthy urban forest. We work to enhance environmental and human health in the Forest City by inspiring, educating and empowering Londoners to plant and care for trees and to be part of a sustainability-focused future for our community. Since our founding in 2005, we have grown to become London’s largest environmental not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving and expanding the urban forests of the region. Powered by passionate staff and volunteers, ReForest London plants and cares for thousands of trees each year.


Role Descriptions

ReForest London is hiring for several Canada Summer Jobs positions for Summer 2026. Are you passionate about the environment, love working outdoors, and want to help make London greener? We’re looking for enthusiastic, motivated youth (ages 15–30) to join our team and support our mission to plant and care for trees across the Forest City. All roles support ecological initiatives aimed at improving local ecosystems, combatting climate change, and enhancing biodiversity.


Ecological Technician - Tree Planter

  • Field‑based role focused on planting and caring for native trees and shrubs in London parks, natural areas, and neighbourhoods
  • Ideal for students or emerging professionals interested in ecology or environmental restoration
  • Offers meaningful outdoor experience alongside a collaborative team of staff and volunteers


Nursery Labourer

  • Hands-on role supporting day‑to‑day operations in ReForest London’s Community Tree Nursery
  • Practical, outdoor work that contributes to the care and maintenance of young native trees, including monitoring for disease, watering, weeding, mulching, and moving stock
  • Ideal for students or emerging professionals interested in horticulture, environmental work, or outdoor activity


Tree Grower - Nursery

  • Key role in nurturing young trees and supporting ReForest London’s growing and aftercare programs
  • Assists with seedling propagation, growth, distribution, and general maintenance, and helps manage nursery stock and inventory
  • Ideal for students or emerging professionals interested in arboriculture or environmental stewardship
