Description
ReForest ATL is a native landscaping, rewilding, and ecological landscaping company dedicated to using ecologically based management practices. We serve private residences (i.e. homeowners), commercial properties, and greenspaces in and around the Atlanta metro area.
Restoration Technicians will use ecologically sensitive methodologies to restore ecosystem function on private and public lands, as well as perform native landscaping services. Safeguarding native species, and minimizing “collateral damage” is prioritized in our work. The job will consist of 100% fieldwork engaging in invasive species management using manual removal and targeted chemical treatment methods, planting, seeding, and maintenance of residential landscapes and natural areas throughout the entire year. We have no centralized “office” and meet at the project sites each day, which can be anywhere within the Atlanta metro area and even beyond; therefore, reliable transportation is essential as is considering arrival times based on traffic flows to the day’s job site.
We aim to create a work environment weighted toward self-management rather than direct, hierarchical management, therefore we seek team oriented individuals with a passion for native habitats and who can work independently as well as a part of a team, and can follow instructions and best management practices. Plant identification is an essential component of the position, as well, and is a preferred qualification as is a willingness to learn.
