ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As Commercial Bid Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the proposal development process. You will ensure that all proposals and supporting materials meet customer requirements, align with Reactive’s commercial strategy, and adhere to quality and technical standards. You will also support the handover of sales opportunities to Reactive’s contract delivery team. This role is critical in enabling the business to win opportunities through compelling, accurate, and timely submissions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- ·Review customer requirements (RFPs, EOIs, RFIs, feedback from Sales) and prepare high-quality proposals that meet technical and commercial standards.
- Coordinate inputs from internal teams (Sales, Product, Project Management, Operations) to ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with commercial objectives.
- Maintain and update proposal templates, boilerplate content, and standard collateral (case studies, CVs, etc.) for reuse and consistency.
- Develop and manage bid plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure all submissions are delivered on time and meet agreed quality standards.
- Alongside the Senior Commercial Manager, support the operation of the opportunity management process. Specifically, coordinate internal reviews and approvals before submission to maintain compliance and consistency.
- Support costing and pricing exercises using established tools and templates.
- Maintain catalogues of costing assumptions and templates for efficiency and accuracy.
- Highlight potential risks in proposals (technical, commercial, delivery) and escalate as needed.
- Analysis of project performance against bids to facilitate feedback into continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement in proposal processes and tools to increase win rates and operational effectiveness.
- Conduct debriefs after bid outcomes to capture lessons learned.
- Support the handover of sales opportunities to Reactive’s delivery teams
- Maintain integrity of Salesforce data related to proposals and opportunities; ensure accuracy and compliance.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
- A self-starter and pragmatic individual who is able to thrive whilst working across teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, Maths or related)
- 5+ years of experience in proposals, bids, or commercial support within energy, technology, or related industries.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and drive efficiency in processes.
